Supportive wife, proud mom, busy employee, kids extracurriculars, and grad school… But God! I’m so proud but I wouldn’t be here with out my peeps! Happy Monday!!!! I don’t know about you but I’ Happy Monday!!!! I don’t know about you but I’ve been on chill mode since I got back from LA. I had a great time celebrating my sis and spending time with family on a much needed vacation. I REALLY had a great time! But vacation time is over 🥴🤷🏽‍♀️ Can I be totally honest?! I didn’t workout one bit. 🥴 I know. I know. Don’t get me wrong I walked alot! A lot! But I didn’t lift a weight or do anything remotely like strength exercise. And I don’t feel bad because I still got up and got moving everyday on vacation. But besides walking there was no exercise, fitness classes, hitting the hotel gym or weights. 🥹🤔🤷🏽‍♀️ Now that vacation season is over and school is back in for the kiddos I’ve gotta get back on track. Because I’ve been off for extended week or 2 🤣 I have been like guilt tripping myself. Sometimes it feels overwhelming or put myself on a mini guilt trip that I don’t get a thing done. So I told myself this AM instead of looking at the whole week and worrying about all of the stuff that doesn’t really matter. Get up DO the thing (exercise) and Crush the day!!! Worry about tomorrow when tomorrow comes. Pack your gym bag and CRUSH THE DAY! You’ve got this! Wake up, wake up, wake up! It’s the first of the Wake up, wake up, wake up! It’s the first of the month! Get up, get up, get up! So grab your list and come on!!🎶🎤 Lol! I know that’s not what Layzie Bone and Bizzy Bone was saying but it’s what I’m singing today. 😂 Cause it’s the first of the month and I’m doing my thing 💃🏾😜 No seriously, it’s that time of the month where we start our meal planning. And with the kids home for the summer, I have to make sure I cover all of the meals. 🥴😫🤣 They have snack then breakfast. Then they have second breakfast and snack. And so on. 😫😂🙄 According to the kids, they still never have anything in the pantry but 🙄 you know how it is. 😜 My family still eats meat. With me eating plant-based, I make two list and two calendars. We eat the same veggies but I usually have to make my protein a little different. These differences and instances are all reasons I HAVE to meal plan and meal prep. Just because school’s out for the summer, doesn’t mean I get to slow down. 😫 It typically means I am even more busy. ⚽️🤸🏾‍♀️💃🏾🩰🏈✈️🌆 My time is precious and I don’t want to spend it in the kitchen all day everyday. I did get some body weight stuff done and a quick walk most mornings but… I’ve been nursing my mini me back to health. Now entering week number 2 locked in the house. It’s been a challenge being down and this is only day #2. Worst part of it is I’m still waiting on room service. This guy is really slow! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 JK! 🤫 don’t tell my hubby I said that! The cooties are still around people so be safe and ever vigilant out there! Happy Movement Monday! June Week 2 Circuit routin Happy Movement Monday! June Week 2 Circuit routine. Every Monday for the month of June I’m posting a new circuit for the week. With permission from your PCP, you can do this circuit 3 to 5 days depending on your fitness level since it’s mostly body weight. This week I added dumbbells and a glute band. No dumbbells, no glute band, no problem. For your hands you can use books, can goods or just put your arms in motion. For the glute band you can go without it also. This workout can be done just about anywhere. Use a mat or a towel for the floor! Bring your beautiful self, positive attitude and some refreshing H2O. Be ready to WERK! If you’re looking to spice up your routine or looking start a routine this is the circuit for you!!
